Who we are

This site is operated by Wireforest LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company based in the United States. For anything in this notice, write to contact@ashwireofficial.com or PO Box 668, Townsend, MA 01469.

What we collect, and why

The mailing list

If you sign up, we store your first name, last name, and email address, along with the date, how you reached the form (for example a campaign tag in the link), and whether you have confirmed your address.

We ask you to confirm by email before adding you, so nobody can be signed up by someone else. The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by writing to us — withdrawing is as easy as joining.

This data is held in a Google Sheet and processed by a Google Apps Script that sends the confirmation and welcome emails. Google acts as our processor.

We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, whichever comes first — there is no fixed expiry, because a mailing list you asked to be on should not quietly drop you. If you never confirm your address, the unconfirmed record is deleted automatically after30 days and we never email it again.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies and cannot follow you to another site: instead of an identifier that persists, visits are counted using a hash derived from the request itself, which is discarded after 24 hours. What is recorded with each page view is the page address, where you arrived from, an approximate location no finer than a city, and your device and browser type. Beacons go to our own domain, not a third-party host. The legal basis is ourlegitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.

The links we email you carry a one-off token in the address, so that clicking one confirms or cancels only your own subscription. That token is stripped out before any measurement is recorded, by Vercel Web Analytics and by Google Analytics alike — neither of them ever receives it.

We also use Google Analytics 4, which does set cookies and shares data with Google. It only loads if you press Accept on the cookie banner; if you decline, it is never loaded and no cookies are set. The legal basis is your consent, which you can change at any time via Cookie settings in the footer.

If you accept, it sets two cookies in your browser: _ga and _ga_2TW97GPBH6, each lasting up to two years. They distinguish one visitor from another; they hold no name, address, or anything you typed into a form.

Google Signals, data sharing with Google, and granular location and device collection are all switched off on our property. Your visit is not joined to your Google account, not used to build an advertising profile, not used across your devices, and not shared with Google for its own products or benchmarking. We use Google Analytics to count visits and nothing else.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard server logs including IP addresses in order to serve pages and protect against abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure site.

On the plan this site runs on, Vercel keeps those logs forone day, after which they are gone.

What we never do

We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to build a profile of you. We do not send marketing to an address that has not confirmed it wants to hear from us.

Who else sees it

Only the processors named above — Google and Vercel — and only so they can provide the service. We are based in the United States, and so are Google and Vercel. If you are in the UK or EEA, that means your data is processed in the US. Google and Vercel are both certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, including the UK Extension, and that is the safeguard we rely on.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EEA you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it elsewhere in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time — that does not affect anything done before you withdrew.

Write to contact@ashwireofficial.com and we will respond within one month. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children

You must be 18 or older to join our mailing list. It is not intended for anyone younger.

Changes

If this notice changes materially we will update the date at the top, and where the change affects something you consented to, we will ask again.
